artist’s comments: After seeing my Harrowsmith Country Life magazine art, this art director contacted me to do some illustrations for a spring renovation promotion for a Reno Depot. I had already created advertising and storyboard projects for this client through another agency in the past, so I new what they were looking for in terms of style. It was just a question of adapting the house drawings to the style that Reno Depot's been using in their marketing materials for some time. The first piece had two houses: one featuring exterior renovations and the second had cut-away sections of the same house showing some interior renovations. The printing concept needed a special die-cut which made the final piece even more dynamic. The second piece had two illustrations: one of a store-front for the cover and the second illustration was of the store interior which was used for the inside of the mailer. (The store-front piece was also used for a full color newspaper ad announcing the opening of a new store in Quebec City) Read Nicola's bio <here>
