artist's comments:
 Stranger Danger was a very special project. I have two children of my own and jumped at the chance to help create a book that could teach Stranger Danger's important message.
This was an opportunity to be part of a project that could teach children how to respond when someone may be attempting to abduct them. The story line needed to speak loud and clear through my art and the author's text. It had to be serious but not intimidating in terms of art style. I had to draw dangerous situations that didn't  scare the child but alerted them to what potentially dangerous scenarios might be like.
The publisher was going to name the book differently, but I convinced her "Stranger Danger" was such a clear message and that it was a much more direct title that spoke to parents.
To have an opportunity like this was very rewarding to me as and artist and parent as well.
