Scholastic's been publishing these horrbile histories for some time and I had the luck of illustrating this Canadian version. It was nominated for the B.C. Red Cedar Award.
Not only where these projects fun but they were educational too! Now l know all that stuff I missed when I was busy daydreaming and doodling in history class.
The nice thing about the Silver Birch and the Red Cedar awards is that they are voted on by the kids, to me that makes these awards extra special.
