Without knowing it, all the drawings and crafts that Yvan use to make as a child added to his present skills. This extended knowledge in flat art and sculpture gave him his creative flexibility, which he now uses to it’s fullest. It allows him to obtain his unique style of dimensional illustration.

The worlds of publicity and design constantly stimulate him. He enjoys the challenge of finding solutions for new projects. This allowing him to uses his wide range of styles from classical illustration to new sculpture techniques and mediums.

As a teacher, Yvan Meunier teaches illustration without boundaries and encourages different kinds of artistic possibilities, allowing the creativity to rise from his students.

As a freelance Art Director, Yvan renders highly comprehensive layouts to demonstrate a complete understanding of the final project to his clients.

Recent projects include:

Stamps for Canada Post, illustrations for the Montreal Botanical Gardens as well as nature and Animal illustrations for exhibits in Canada, the US, the Dominican Republic and HaÏti. Also, Yvan illustrations were included as part of the Canadian Pavilion at the International Expo in Lisbon (1999). He is also the creator of the marketing posters for the Canada Day Festival in Quebec (1999 to 2004).

Clients include: Polygram Records, Michelin Canada, Young & Rubicam, Publicis BCP, Cossette and Academie Ogilvy. Publishing clients include Becker Mayer!, OG Magazine, Alberta Venture Magazine, Publishing International Inc.
